CONGRATULATIONS!!
Tuckahoe American won the 2010 District 5 Major (ages 11 & 12) Baseball tournament championship. The AL squad defeated their National League counterparts in the championship contest on Friday, July 9. The championship game was the third matchup between TLL's major teams of the district tournament, each team having won once prior.
Up next for the Big Red is the Virgina State tournament being hosted by District 13 at Clintwood Little League. The winner of the 16 team, double elimination tournament will advance to the Major Little League Southeast Regionals being held for the first time in Warner Robins, GA, the new home of Little League's Southeast Region.

The title was the 13th District 5 Major Baseball won by Tuckahoe Little League in the last 15 years. The American League charter has won seven district banners while the Nationals have captured six. Five of those district champs have also captured state championships, four by National teams (1996, '99, '04, '06) and one by the 2008 American League team.
TLL Senior Softball District 5 Champions
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Tuckahoe won the District 5 senior softball championship Wednesday night. The girls defeated their rival from Mechanicsville twice to secure the title. TLL followed their motto of the tournament 'Protecting Our House'. In winning both games, TLL was only outscored 2 innings per game.
TLL has now won the District Sr. Softball championship three years in a row. The team returns to the state tournament where they finished in 4th place the last two years determined to finish higher this year.

They won their first game Friday against Honaker by a score of 22-18. Yes the game went extra innings too, in 105 degree temps and lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes!! Way to go girls. Tomorrow they will play against Green Run, the District 8 champ.

The Tuckahoe National 10/11 yr old baseball team closed out District 5 tournament play at the Tuckahoe Sports Park this year by winning the 10/11 D5 baseball championship with a 14-2 win over Huguenot National.
Tuckahoe National finished tournament play with a record of 5-1. Their sole loss of the tournament came at the hands of Huguenot National in the winner's bracket finals. TLL bounced back from that loss by beating a feisty Atlee team to set up a rematch with Huguenot National in the tourney finals. Tuckahoe then bested Huguenot National twice to win the title.

Tuckahoe American 9 yr Old Atlee Invitational Champions
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Tuckahoe American defeated Atlee National to complete a sweep at the Atlee 9 year old Invitational Baseball Tournament with a record of 6-0. After completing pool play 4-0 with wins over, Huguenot National, Atlee American, Mechanicsville National, and Central Chesterfield American, the TLL Americans moved into the championship round.
The semi-final game against Huguenot National was a game for the ages and will be remembered and talked about for years to come. Trailing 6-4 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th, the gritty Tuckahoe team scored 3 runs in their final at bat to win the game 7-6 and advance to the championship game.
Tuckahoe came out firing on all cylinders and cruised past Atlee National 13-6 in their final game to secure the championship.
All 13 boys on the TLL American squad played a significant role in every win with a different hero stepping up in each game. Congratulations to all for a job well done!
