Tuckahoe Little League has a 50+ year history of providing a positive sportsmanship environment for our families. Our mission statement reads: "To provide a family friendly, safe and affordable environment where all girls and boys within our boundaries are given the opportunity to build their self-esteem and character while learning the fundamentals and enjoying the games of softball and baseball at a well-maintained and first class facility."

Tuckahoe Little League requires the following:

PLAYERS:

1. Players will not use profanity during any Tuckahoe Little League youth sports event.

2. Players will not engage in inappropriate dialogue, actions or behavior with umpires, teammates, coaches, opponents or spectators.

3. Players will not, under any circumstances participate in physical violence or threats of physical violence before, during, or after any game or practice.

4. Players will obey the rules of the game.

PARENTS/LEGAL GUARDIANS/VOLUNTEERS:

1. I will show respect for all involved in the game and not criticize the umpires, coaches, opponents or fans, nor curse or use abusive language.

2. I will keep all my comments positive and use positive encouragement. I understand that the game is for the players and I will keep sports in the proper perspective.

3. I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.

4. I will respect the officials and coaches and their authority during the games and will never question, discuss, or confront officials and coaches at the ball field, and will schedule time to speak with officials and coaches at an agreed upon time and place.

5. I understand that only players, coaches, officials and authorized volunteers are allowed in the dugouts and on the field, no exceptions.

6. I understand that I am subject to the authority of all Tuckahoe Little League field officials, including umpires, league officials and coaches.

7. I am responsible for the conduct of all my family members and guests attending the games to watch my child.

8. I will not possess alcoholic beverages at Tuckahoe Sports Park, nor be under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.

9. I will not use tobacco products on or adjacent to the general field of play at any Tuckahoe Little League youth sports event, including but not limited to: the backstop, fences, stands, scorer’s box and the concession stand.

10. I will help make this a positive and fun experience for all and report any violations to a head coach or Tuckahoe Little League Board member.

11. I will do my best to get my child to practice and games on time and communicate timely with the coach if my child will be late or absent.

12. I will honor the Tuckahoe Little League Code of Sportsmanship in my words and actions. I understand that violators may be asked to immediately leave the premises and will be subject to disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Verbal warning by an official, head coach, and/or a member of the Tuckahoe Little League Board.
• Written warning.
• Game forfeiture through the official or head coach.
• Game suspension(s) with written documentation of the incident(s) kept on file by the Executive Committee of the Tuckahoe Little League Board of Directors.
• Season suspension.
• Lifetime ban.
