The TLL Board of Directors is excited to announce that we are planning to begin practices on Saturday, June 13 and games on Saturday, June 27.

We want to assure you that the safety of our families is the top priority as we move back into play. The June 13 start date is consistent with Virginia entering Phase 2 and the consensus of the 12 leagues that make up Virginia Little League District 5. Additionally, we have spent the past few weeks developing COVID-19 “Return to Play Safety Policies” to protect the players, coaches, and spectators. We are hopeful everyone will understand the unique circumstances that this season will be played under and appreciate the steps being taken to provide the safest environment possible for your child to play. TLL’s Return to Play Policies provides TLL-specific safety measures that supplement and do not replace CDC guidelines. Everyone is encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines.

Season Overview

If all goes well and the Governor’s Executive Order expires as planned we will begin two weeks of practice on Saturday, June 13.Games will begin on Saturday, June 27. We plan to play into mid-August, and then possibly follow our regular season up with invitational/District tournaments in early September for applicable age groups. As we develop more information specific to each division, dates, and scheduling we will post it at www.Tuckahoe.org on the “2020 Season Information” link.

We are currently reviewing our registration numbers and preparing to make adjustments as needed. You should hear from your manager soon, with more details when we have them.

Registration

Registration is now OPEN until June 10 for those who would like to register! If you previously registered for the 2020 spring season you do not have to register again. Please visit the “Register Here” link on our website at www.Tucahoe.org.

Return to Play at Your Pace

We understand that some of you will have summer/fall plans that will not suit the new schedule and that others may not feel comfortable returning to play. We have three options for you:

Return to play when you are comfortable

If you would prefer to wait longer before joining us, but want to do so at some point, simply inform your manager that you will return at your own pace.

Withdraw with a Refund

If you would like a refund please send an email to [email protected] that includes your account name, player name and mailing address. A refund check will be mailed to you. We will look forward to your child returning to TLL next season.

Withdraw without a Refund, or with a Partial Refund

TLL incurred expenses for uniforms, Little League fees, insurance and equipment in preparation for the season before the COVID-19 crisis began. Even if your child withdraws from the season, TLL has spend funds in anticipation of your child playing. We understand the desire to receive a refund and will provide a full refund to anyone who wants one. We simply ask that if you are able and willing, please consider forgoing a refund or seeking only a partial refund. If you forgo a full refund, we will issue a receipt for your tax-deductible gift to TLL. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
